Hey, I'm Nikita! 👋
Product Designer who designs data-dense products that feel effortless
📍 Seattle, WA (Open to Relocate)
🧚🏼♀️ What I Do
I'm a Strategic Product Designer & Researcher who thinks in systems, gets excited about data-driven design and creating experiences that actually work for people. With an engineering brain and a designer's heart, I love digging into user research, building design systems, and seeing those conversion numbers go up.
🦸🏻♀️ My Superpowers
Design & Strategy
I'm all about scalable design solutions that make everyone's life easier. Give me a messy product ecosystem, and I'll organize it into something beautiful and functional. I speak fluent Figma, ProtoPie, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Research Nerd
I genuinely love user research - the messier the problem, the better! I'm skilled in mixed-methods research, usability testing, and translating user insights into actionable design decisions. A/B testing is my jam.
Tech-Savvy Designer
Thanks to my engineering background, I actually understand how things get built. I work comfortably with HTML/CSS and Azure DevOps and can have meaningful conversations with developers about feasibility and trade-offs.
👩🏻💻 What I've Been Up To
@ Urban Griot Playground (Research Assistant)
Jun 2024 – Jun 2025
Led co-design sprints that seriously improved onboarding flows. Built information architecture that made the team way more efficient and eliminated those annoying user journey dead-ends. Also got to flex my research muscles with thematic analysis and stakeholder workshops.
Boosted signups by 40% by turning research jargons into marketing collateral.
@Center for Design (Design Research Co-op)
Jun 2024 – Jun 2025
I managed and maintained research documentation for a research project affiliated with CfD.
I was a part of the DRS 2024 conference (the biggest research conference) organizing core team and collaborated with MIT and Harvard to design experiences for 700+ international attendees - everything from the volunteer schedule system to wayfinding. My favorite part? Translating user feedback into navigation that actually made sense, which dramatically reduced support requests.
@ Wobot.ai (Product Intern)
Oct 2021 – Apr 2022
This is where I fell in love with product design! Redesigned their CV tool, built an atomic design system with 20+ components, and learned how design directly impacts user acquisition. Seeing those satisfaction ratings hit 95% was pretty amazing.
Holisti - My Thesis Project
Apr 2025 – Jun 2025
Built an AI-powered wellness platform from scratch - market research, user journeys, the whole nine yards. Combined health tracking with e-commerce and community features. It was like designing three products in one, and I loved every challenging minute of it.
