Context
This internship was my first step into UX design—a thrilling opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to real-world products in a fast-paced startup environment. I worked alongside a small but mighty cross-functional team, including senior designers, developers, product managers, UX writers, and the founders.
🚀 My Journey as a Product Design Intern at Wobot.ai
I was a Product Design Intern at Wobot.ai—a fast-paced AI startup of about 100 people—design was still finding its voice. As the only Product Intern, I quickly learned to spot gaps, rally teams, and turn chaos into clarity. My role went beyond typical intern tasks: I took initiative, collaborated across teams, and drove both product and process improvements.
Here are some exciting projects I created in collaboration with Developers, the Marketing Team, PM, and a UX Writer:
Streamlined Internal CV Tool
Overhauled the 'Wopipe' internal tool, leading to a 30% faster pipeline creation for our computer vision engineers and a 40% drop in UI-related errors by redesigning the software interface and 20+ modals for faster, more intuitive use.

Design System Initiator & Lead
At Wobot.ai, I recognized the need for greater UI/UX consistency. I initiated and scaled the team’s first design system, including the foundation of component libraries and initial guidelines, with plans to expand documentation.

Key Website Pages Design
"I designed and redesigned some of the key pages and sections of the company website, like the home page, about page, career page, and industry page."

Onboarding Flow for a New Client
"Collaborating with a UX designer, I designed a new onboarding experience for new clients, mapping the journey and prototyping solutions that made setup 30% faster and more user-friendly."

Content-First Process Initiative
"I identified inefficiencies in the website workflow and championed a “content-first” policy, which was adopted company-wide and reduced unnecessary design iterations which saved time and resources for the entire team."
“At Wobot.ai, I learned that great design isn’t just about pixels it’s about spotting problems, bringing people together, and creating solutions that last. I’m proud to have left behind not just better interfaces, but better ways of working.”
"Nikita was actively & diligently devoted to tasks assigned to her. During the span, we found her hardworking. Her learning powers are good, and she picks up swiftly. Her feedback and evaluation proved that she learned keenly. We wish her a bright future."
